In Key West Fla. airport, a small jet carrying the owner of NASCAR's top team Rick Hendrick and his wife lost its brakes and crashed landed at the end of the runway. This was this past Monday. Rick was diagnosed with a broken rib and collarbone and his wife was treated for minor cuts and bruises. Both of the pilots did not suffer and injuries. All four of them were released from Lower Keys Medical center early morning the next day and then returned to North Carolina. The Gulfstream 150 jet ran off the runway at 7:45 pm. According to the sheriff office the pilot and co-pilot radioed that the plane had no brakes when it landed. They said that the plane ran off the run way into a 600 feet safety zone and past that for another 100 feet. The safety zone way built May of this year. The photos show the pain largely intact and the nose resting on the ground 20 feet from the airport fence. In 2004, a plane Hendrick owned crashed while it was headed to a race in Martinsville, Va. Everyone on board died including Hendrickson's son, Ricky, his brother and two nieces.
