Bubba Smith was born On February, 28 1945 in Orange , Texas . His father was a football coach who accumulated 235 victories in a career spent at three high schools in the Beaumont area. It was at Charlton-Pollard high School in Beaumont where the son got to play for the father. The younger Smith developed into one of the state's best-ever high school football players. Bubba Smith died on of drug intoxication and his body was found on August 3rd. His body showed high levels of the weight-loss drug phentermine in his system. He also had heart disease, an enlarge heart and up to seventy-five percent blockage of some blood vessels. Smith was the top overall pick in the 1967 draft after playing at Michigan State , where he was an All-American pick in 1996. His number 95 jersey was retired in 2006. He spent five seasons with the Baltimore Colts, where he played on the 1971 Super Bowl team, and two seasons each with Oakland and Houston . After retiring from NFL Smith became a actor in 1970s and 1980s. He was well known for being in many series or movies but he know featuring retired football players.
